Dress Code

2011/2012

 

 

Part of the discipline of dance, physical theater and gymnastics is coming to class, prepared, dressed neatly, and in the proper attire.  We believe our dress code improves the quality of our students’ education. By making dance wear simple and uniform, teachers can more clearly see student’s bodies and therefore make more accurate corrections regarding movements and positions.

 

All dance attire and style numbered items can be purchased at Pas De Chat (107 E Main Street New Holland, 717-354-2521)

           

Girls/Ladies: Please do not wear underwear underneath tights! No bras underneath your leotard unless it is sports bra that matches the color of the leotard!

 

Creative Movement and Kinder Ballet:

  • Pink skirted leotard (Style #615GC)
  • Ballet Pink Capezio Tights
  • Pink Capezio or Bloch leather Ballet Slippers
  • Hair pulled back neatly and securely with hairnet in a BUN

            Boys -

  • Black shorts or black jazz pants
  • White t-shirt – tucked in!
  • Black Capezio leather ballet slippers with white socks

 

Primary Ballet:

  • Blue skirted leotard (Style #4354)
  • Ballet Pink Capezio Tights
  • Pink Capezio or Bloch leather Ballet Slippers
  • Hair pulled back neatly and securely with hairnet in a BUN with bangs sprayed back
  • Black shorts
  • White t-shirt – Tucked in!
  •  Black Capezio leather ballet slippers with white socks

 

Grade I-III and all Non-Syllabus Ballet:

  • Adagio Tank Leotard (Style #L5415)
  • Ballet Pink Capezio Tights
  • Pink Capezio or Bloch leather Ballet Slippers
  • Hair pulled back neatly and securely with hairnet in a BUN with bangs sprayed back

            Guys -

  • Black shorts with Black Capezio footed tights (Tights must be worn over the foot!)
  • White t-shirt (Style #5938) – tucked in!
  •  Black Capezio leather ballet slippers

 

Hip Hop:

  • Black hip hop pants/capris – NO SHORT SHORTS OR JEANS!
  • SOLID color tank or shirt
  • Hair pulled back in pony tail
  • Girls – any color leotard or sports bra under shirt– no exceptions!
  • Any style sneakers

 

Tap:

  • Girls - Any color leotard and black jazz pants
  • Guys - Any solid color shirt and black shorts
  • Black oxford tie tap shoes (jazz taps)
  • Hair pulled back neatly and securely

 

Modern/Lyrical/Contemporary:

  • Girls - Any solid color leotard and black leggings or black shorts with black tights
  • Guys – any color shirt with black jazz pants or black shorts

 

Jazz/Musical Theater:

  • Girls - Any solid color leotard and black jazz pants
  • Guys – any color shirt and black jazz pants
  • Black jazz boot (slip-on, no tie)

 

Physical Theater:

  • Any SOLID color shirt or tank
  • Black Jazz Pants
  • Girls – any solid color leotard or sports bra underneath shirts!
  • Hair pulled back in ponytail
  • No shoes

 

Gymnastics:

  • Girls – any color gymnastic leotard with black shorts on top
  • Guys – Black gym shorts and t – shirt
  • Hair pulled back in ponytail
  • No zippers, buttons, socks, or shoes

 

Infusion Company:

  • Any solid color leotard and jazz pants
  • Guys – any solid color shirt and black shorts with black Capezio tights
  • Hair pulled back neatly and securely
  • Appropriate shoes

 

If Dress Code is not respected and followed we will:

 

1st time: Call or talk to parents

2nd time: Student gets a warning

3rd time: Student must observe class only and not participate until dressed
